Position Title

Allocations Specialist

What the job is like

You would be responsible for seeing that supplies and products are allocated to the appropriate store, person or department and keep track of inventory levels.

This position manage day to day product allocation based on sales team forecast, product availability and customer demand requirements and work in partnerships with support staff and product management to ensure prioritization of customer orders to available supply.  

This position also partner with merchants to ensure inventory levels are aligned across all levels; manage receipt flow; develop fulfillment strategies; identify, communicate, and propose store-level solutions for fulfillment risks and opportunities.

Essential skills or attributes

  • Intermediate Computer Skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
  • Intermediate Math Skills (Algebra, Statistics, Geometry)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of warehouse strategies and processes
  • Understanding of supply chain strategies and processes
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulations and compliance
  • Experience in the application of regulatory compliance
  • Production and Resource Scheduling
  • Ability to read and interpret industry related reports and data

Usual required training

High School Diploma/ GED plus some experience in the industry. 

Some companies may require an Associate’s Degree plus some experience in the industry.
