Business like John Deere, Kraft Foods Global, American Honda, ALCOA, Nestle Purina, and the Rock Island Arsenal employ logistics and warehousing personnel.

The Quad Cities Development Group task force for logistics promotes the area to attract and develop this type of businesses.
