The Eastern Iowa Community College District (EICCD) offers a logistics technician program that can be completed in four sessions , or tracks of 8 weeks each. To know more, visit the program page at the EICCD website.

Black Hawk College (BHC) has a 15-week freight broker training program introduced in 2007 to help meet the demand for this area of logistics.
Both BHC and EICCD offer several courses that can help you move into or move up in the field of logistics. For example, the Excel 2003 or Access 2007 courses are helpful for inventory management; or DOT Hazardous Materials for Transportation certainly will give you a competitive advantage in your resume.

Review EICCD’s online continuing education (CE) classes and BHC continuing education classes schedule, and pick the courses that you would like to take.
Some of those courses are online, so you will need to have access to a computer on a regular basis. Other courses are face-to-face with an instructor. Locations of the courses may vary.
Eastern Iowa Community College District has classes in Riverdale/Bettendorf, Davenport, Muscatine, and Clinton. Black Hawk College has classes in Colona, East Moline, Galesburg, Geneseo, Kewanee, Milan, Moline, and Rock Island.
